Antigen
TGFBR1 antibody was made against amino acids 158 - 179 of TGFBR1 (Human).
Keep at
Store TGFBR1 antibody at 2-8 grades C for up to 1 year. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.
Antibody advice
TGFBR1 antibody can be used in ELISA, Western Blot starting at 1:500 - 1:2000, and immunohistochemistry starting at 1:200.
Properties
If you buy Antibodies supplied by proscience they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.
Description
This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Gene info
TGFBR1, an Activin/TGFb type protein kinase, is a member of the transforming growth factor-beta (TGFb) signal transduction pathway which controls multiple intracellular functions and the development and homeostasis of most organs and tissues. TGFBR1 is recruited into a heteromeric complex and is phosphorylated by ligand-bound transforming growth factor beta receptor type 2 (TGFBR2). Activated TGFBR1 phosphorylates the receptor-regulated signaling proteins Smad2 and Smad3 which translocate to the nucleus to activate transcription. Mutations in, or loss of expression of, TGFBR1 have been identified in a large number of different tumors and in Loeys-Dietz syndrome.
