Purity

Anti-hTGF-alpha specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated.

Antigen

Produced from sera of rabbits pre-immunized with highly pure (>98%) recombinant hTGF-alpha (human hTGF-alpha).

Properties

If you buy Antibodies supplied by proscience they should be stored frozen at - 24°C for long term storage and for short term at + 5°C.

Description

This antibody needs to be stored at + 4°C in a fridge short term in a concentrated dilution. Freeze thaw will destroy a percentage in every cycle and should be avoided.

Keep at

TGF-a antibody is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20 grades C. The reconstituted antibody is stable for at least two weeks at 2-8 grades C. Frozen aliquots are stable for at least 6 months when stored at -20 grades C. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Antibody advice

ELISA:To detect hTGF-a; by direct ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.15 - 0.30 ug/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 ng/well of recombinant hTGF-a;. Sandwich:To detect hTGF-a; by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25 - 1.0 ug/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with our Polyclonal Anti-Human TGF-a; (XP-5281) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant hTGF-a;.Western Blot:To detect hTGF-a; by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 ug/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hTGF-a; is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
